First of all I would like to thank all of you who participated in our High Value C0G Usage survey. Your responses were so helpful that we have decided to expand things a bit and are taking this quick survey "into the field" to give even more of our customers a chance to give us feedback in person. So, thank you for participating.

Regarding product news, this month we are making you aware of expansion of values in Ceramic Capacitors and Tantalum Capacitors. Venkel is continually trying to add more offerings in the Ceramic and Tantalum value ranges.

We also have a small change regarding the MRFI0603 series.

Tantalum Chip Capacitors: New Values

Since it is doubtful that Surface Mount ceramics in standard case sizes will surpass the 470uF value range any time soon, we have expanded out Tantalum range offerings. Following are recently added values to our TCM series (standard ESR Tantalums):

• 470uF in 4V in D(7343) and E-case (7343H)
• 470uF in 6.3V in D(7343) and E-case (7343H)
• 470uF in 10V available in E-case (7343H) only
• 680uF in 4V in D(7343) and E-case (7343H)
• 1000uF in 4V in E-case (7343H)

Ceramic Chip Capacitors: New Values

Multilayer Ceramic Chip Caps (C Series)

• 0.22uF, 1206, X7R, 10% now available in 100V
  (Note from the Editor: in the initial distribution of this issue of 1st Alert, the value for this new part was incorrectly listed as 0.022uF. The correct value is 0.22uF and has been corrected in this archived copy.)
• 10uF, 1206, now in 25V and X7R dielectric (we announced this last month but it's in such high demand that we wanted to remind everyone)

Inductors: E.C.N. for MRFI0603 Series

• A small change has taken place with our 0603 size MRFI Inductor series. Please see official documentation here.

Obsolete/Discontinued Parts
